Back to the Drawing Board
So... one of my 30 Before 30 goals was to have a Flickr account and maintain it. I thought this would be a good easy place to start on my list of goals. I remembered that I had started an account a while back so that was step one. I uploaded a lot of my recent vacation pictures and I realized that I only have like 5% of capacity left. Talk about a buzz kill. I thought about upgrading which is $24.99 for a year or some crazy stuff like that. Now, in looking at my list of 30 goals it's easy to see that a lot of them require money and lots of it. Do I really want to spend more money on these goals? Especially one that is just for pictures? No. No I do not. Call me cheap if you will, but I would rather save that money and it put toward a credit card payment or put it in a savings fund for a fertility doctor.
So I'm just sure if I should cross this off my list as "complete" or if I should find another picture hosting site like Photobucket or Snapfish. One of the reasons I wanted to join Flickr was because of the community that is there. You can comment on everyone's photos and they are plenty of groups and projects to join in on. Plus that seems to be where a lot of bloggers upload their pictures. Do these other sites have those kinds of options. I don't even know. So I'm just not sure about how to continue with this goal. Part of me just wants to mark it as complete as I didn't really fail the task per se. And seeing as how this is my project, I make the rules around here. I'm just not sure. It's a little disappointing to be staring off my project in this fashion! Let's hope my next endeavor turns out a little better!

Fall Reading
I've been on a bit of a reading kick ever since my vacation in August in which I read four books. Yes four books. Ok, it's not like I was reading great works of literature. They were more of the Tori Spelling and chick lit variety, but still. Since then I have been wanting to do nothing but read. In the time since the vacation (which was in August mind you) I have read the following:
The last book is by Elin Hilderbrand who is an excellent author. I have read two other books by her and I think she is fabulous. Her books are set on the island of Nantucket and they have made me want to visit there. Maybe one day I will! If you enjoy a quick, easy, entertaining read then I would suggest her.

Jodi Picoult is hands down my favorite author. I seem to love everything she writes. I enjoy that she makes you look at things from a different perspective. Sometimes you think you know how you would feel about a situation and then you read her book and suddenly you aren't sure what you believe. I can never really explain what it is about her books. I think you just have to read them to understand.
With all this talk about books, I have decided that September will be the beginning of one of my 30 Before 30 Goals - Reading 2 books a month for a year. I can totally do it!

L-O-V-E
So, maybe I'm a little game with some things (blogging, flickr accounts, etc.). This is true. I am definitely A LOT late to the game when it comes to a little something I like to call Pumpkin Spice Latte....
Yes, today I just had my first Pumpkin Spice Latte and it was delicious.
I thank the interwebs for this new addiction. And my husband thanks you too!

Thirty Before Thirty
Image via here
In just a little over three years, I will be... 30 years old. Boy is that hard to type. Or even think about for that matter. I remember when I was younger and thinking 30 was old (I know, I know, cliche). Of course now that I'm knock, knock, knocking at 30 years old, I think that's not that old. Except that I kinda do. I thought that by the time I was 30, I would be married and have a child. Actually 2. Actually I wanted to be done, having children. Oh boy, what was I thinking? In truth, I have a husband, but no babies yet. Nature is making that a bit more difficult than it should be. So in looking at my goals and realizing I might not make it, I decided to re-write some goals. Thus the 30 Before 30 Project. It's pretty easy. 30 things I wish to accomplish before October 25, 2013. In order to make myself accountable - I'm putting my list out there for all the world to see:
- Make a full dinner - all components, no help (yes, in my three years of being a wife, I have not made a total dinner by myself. This is the Undomestic Goddess, remember??)
- Start and maintain a blog. (Clearly I have started, but the goal is to keep it going)
- Travel to Washington D.C.
- Travel to New York City again.
- Teach a full year of PREP
- Go to a fertility specialist.
- Finish our basement.
- Get a new job.
- Got to Gatlinburg on a family trip.
- Buy a really expensive purse (by really expensive I mean over $200 - that's expensive to me)
- Organize the entire house
- Read a "classic" novel I didn't read in high school.
- Research adoption options.
- Get another dog.
- Keep and maintain a coupon system.
- Payoff both credit cards.
- Visit the Florida Panhandle again.
- Get my wisdom teeth pulled (yeah still haven't done that).
- Refinish our bedroom furniture.
- Make and meet a blog friend (won't you be my friend??)
- Have a specialty party at my house.
- Walk three nights a week for a month.
- Clean and dust every Saturday for a month.
- Make my bed everyday for a month.
- Pack lunch everyday for a month.
- Go to the doctor for a physical.
- Start and maintain a Flickr account.
- Start and maintain a journal full of thoughts, quotes, etc.
- Vote in the next presidential election.
- Read two books a month for a year.
But I'm willing to give it all a shot and I'm planning on documenting my progress here.
What are your 30 before 30?
